Frequently asked questions

Which barcode type should I use?

EAN-13 (or UPC-A in North America) for retail products, Code128 for shipping labels and inventory, and ITF-14 for outer cartons.

Can I print the barcodes?

Yes. Download SVG for sharp printing at any size, or PNG for documents and labels.

Why is my EAN-13 value rejected?

EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits. If you enter 13 digits, the last one must be a valid check digit.

Is anything I enter sent to a server?
